Welcome to NJW Photography! I'm Natasha, and you'll find me behind the camera, supporting and encouraging you every step of the way.​

I pirouetted my way through life from baby ballerina, to competition dancer, from drama kid, to theatre teen. Age 18, I headed to London to pursue a full time theatre dance degree at London Studio Centre, and had my sights set on the West End. After working for Disney, and on small projects as a dancer and model, I went on to complete a masters degree at Guildford School of Acting, and worked on a few commercials. Things don't always pan out the way you plan though, and injuries kept interrupting my progress, eventually leading me to look at other ways to use my skills and knowledge. That's where the fitness industry came calling! Barre fitness was just becoming popular, and I became one of the earliest instructors at the UK's first barre studio, Barrecore. 10+ years later, and with a small hiatus when covid shut the fitness industry down, teaching barre is still a part of my life, but there's now so much more, including, of course, photography.

I've always loved photography, and actually remember being given a yellow toy camera as a child, possibly aged 3 or 4! Both my Grandad and Uncle were photographers, and I have albums upon albums of holidays, friends' sleepovers, and show photos. During college show dress rehearsals I took photos, and have always been the one with the camera on nights out (yes, at one time they were all uploaded to Facebook!!).
Through all this, I was also working in front of the camera as a dance model, or having my headshots taken, as well as working at a leading London makeover photography studio as a receptionist. Being around creatives and photographers undoubtedly inspired me, as I soon started to consider taking my hobby further. I began offering headshot sessions to friends, sometimes just in my back garden, and after a few years of thinking about it, I finally launched my own business 'officially' in 2021. Just 6 months later I made my move to live by the sea in East Sussex, a move that opened up my business to a huge local creative community, and has seen this little business go from strength to strength.​

Now, I'm proud to offer not only headshots for actors and business professionals, but photoshoots for dancers and fitness professionals, small businesses, and people who simply want to let their energy shine.
